ROTHWELL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting held at Rothwell Village Hall on Tuesday 15th January 2019 at
7:30pm.
Present: Cllrs S. Davey (Chairman), I. Kireia, G. Pearce, C. Dale, W. Emms.
1) APOLOGIES: M. Deakin, R. Biglands.
2) DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: None
3) MINUTES OF MEETING OF 20th NOVEMBER 2018: Signed as a true record.
4) CHAIRMAN & COUNCIL’S COMMENTS: Cllr Kireia informed council that the
defibrillator batteries have been replaced free of charge on this occasion but will cost
£50 in the future.
5) REPORTS FROM OTHER BODIES: None.
6) CLERK'S REPORT ON MATTERS OUTSTANDING: The clerk has reported the need
for repair to the railings on Partridge Drive but this has not as yet been actioned by ACIS.
The request for West Lindsey to send the road sweeper has not been actioned either so
the clerk will make contact with both agencies again.
7) FINANCE: ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT:
H. Pitman: £225.62 39.40H Pitman reimbursement: £18. Resolved to
pay.
8) PLANNING APPLICATIONS: None.
9) CORRESPONDENCE: WLDC Community Infrastructure Levy booklet.
10) TO DISCUSS & RESOLVE ON TENDERS FOR THE BUS SHELTER: Concerns were
raised regarding anti-social behaviour around the bus shelter but council is not minded to
get rid of it. Council resolved to accept the tender received for £930 provided it covers the
full specification given. Cllr Emms will also enquire about close boarding to the rear to
prevent a recurrence of the ASB as discussed.
11) TO RESOLVE ON CLERK'S PAY FOR 2019/20 FOLLOWING NATIONAL PAY
AWARD: Agreed to accept.
12) TO RECEIVE GENERAL COMMENTS FROM MEMBERS & MATTERS FOR
CONSIDERATION ON THE NEXT AGENDA:
Cllr Pearce announced he will not be standing for re-election after serving as a councillor
for over 20 years. Council and the clerk wished him well in his relocation abroad.
