Cllr Smith agreed to chase up the clearing of drains, particularly the 2 drains at the top of Beckside. He also agreed to chase Highways regarding the potholes on School Lane.

10. Other business: A member of the village hall committee has asked if a mural could be painted inside the bus stop to brighten it up. The Council agreed in principle that this would be a nice idea but would want to know the subject of the mural before committing.

They also asked whether the noticeboard could be moved to the outside of the bus shelter for better visibility, but, after some discussion, it was felt that it would be damaged by rain if placed outside. A new waterproof board would be too costly, so Cllr Colebrook suggested looking into moving the board to the opposite wall where it could perhaps be seen more clearly.

A discussion was had regarding the positioning of the one remaining tree to commemorate the Jubilee and a position on the verge between the village sign and the pub car park was suggested as being the most appropriate.

Date of next meeting was agreed as Wednesday 9th November.

The meeting closed at 8.00 p.m.
