ROTHWELL PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Meeting held at Rothwell Village Hall on Tuesday 21st January 2020 at 7:30pm.

Present: C. Dale (Chairman), I. Kireia, W. Plaskitt and W. Emms.

  1. APOLOGIES:   Cllrs. S. Davey, R. Thomas.
  2. CO-OPTION OF COUNCILLOR: Norman Deakin. Proposed, C. Dale. Seconded, I. Kireia. All in favour. The declaration of acceptance was signed and Cllr Deakin took his seat.
  3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:  None.
  4. MINUTES OF MEETING OF 19th November 2019:  Signed as a true record.
  5. CHAIRMAN & COUNCIL’S COMMENTS: It was noted that Beckside is to be closed early February so council is hopeful that repairs to the road by LCC are to be undertaken. Cllr Regis informed council that Market Rasen leisure centre will open in the summer; WLDC is looking to reduce its portion of the council tax by 2% and green bin charge is to remain the same as last year. WL Councillor Initiative funding is on offer and council agreed to discuss the Community Speedwatch scheme at the next meeting. Agenda
  6. CLERK'S REPORT ON OUTSTANDING MATTERS: Nothing to report.
  7. FINANCE: ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT:  H. Pitman: £218.86; HMRC: £42.80; C. Dale: £137; C. Dale: £15.72. Resolved to pay. Request for grant cheque agreed at last meeting to be paid but no payee details supplied. 
  8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS: None.
